the almost awkward blog.

okay okay, i know its our honeymoon and that it is kind of awkward and uncomfortable to blog about it. but we’re just having so much darn fun, i couldn’t leave you completely out of the loop.

in the case that you are or have been completely out of the loop, maria had no idea where we were going on our honeymoon. it was my little secret.

last year maria and i went to seattle to visit my sister and fell in love with the northwest. during our trip we decided that we wanted to get married, so this area has had a really special place in our hearts ever since. so, sunday afternoon we took off for seattle. we stayed in seattle at the ace hotel for two nights. the hotel was pretty cool, but ended up being more of a stylized dorm room than honeymoon getaway. the first nite we got in really late and realized we didn’t have our own bathroom. only a shared bathroom in the hallway. we thought.

awesome.

the next morning i went to the front desk to ask for towels. the guy at the front told me they were behind the revolving door. i told maria and we started pushing on the walls. eventually i pushed on a wall and the whole wall revolved… revealing a huge private bathroom…

anyway, ace hotel = cool dorm. that’s about it.

so, before we took off for portland, our next destination, we cancelled our reservations at the ace hotel here and booked at hotel lucia.\

super awesome.

two more nights in portland then off to asheville where we’ll be in a treehouse for three nites!
